We are a small, deaf-led team. Everyone here uses British Sign Language every day, so you learn and get support from people who truly understand.
Robert is a sixth generation Deaf person in his family, with BSL as his first language. Alongside this, he is a fully qualified BSL teacher, with many years of experience teaching BSL levels one to six for the awarding body Signature. He has also provided Deaf Awareness training all over the country for public sector organisations, including for the NHS, education bodies and for police forces.
Janine is usually your first point of contact at Deaf Spaces. She is deaf and understands exactly what learners and families need. She helps you choose the right course, answers your questions and makes sure everyone feels welcome.
Fareen is deaf and a passionate advocate for the deaf community. She looks after HR and administration, and supports deaf adults through advice and advocacy. Her goal is to make sure every person who comes to Deaf Spaces is treated with care and respect.
